Subsidence & Underpinning

Underpinning is the process of strengthening and stabilising the foundation of an existing building or other stucture. Underpinning may be necessary for a variety of reasons:

  • The original foundation is not stable or strong enough.
  • The usage of the structure has changed.
  • The properties of the soil supporting the foundation may have changed, possibly through subsidence.
  • The construction of nearby structures necessitates the excavation of soil supporting existing foundations.

We cover Manchester, Bury, Bolton, Rochdale, Preston, Salford, most areas in the North West of England.

If you require underpinning works, please do not hesitate to contact us, either using the quick enquiry form below or by phone.

This is a piling and underpinning project in a cellar in West Yorkshire.
