Our client contacted us regarding some foundations work for a new build office block in Manchester. First of all, we arranged to visit site to discuss the works with the client. The client and I confirmed that a piling foundation would best suit this project and agreed a price for the works. We booked the works in to start the following working week.

Firstly, we began by excavating for the new foundations. We installed our piling foundation scheme as per our structural engineers design. This included steel cased top driven piles and beams. Once completed, we contacted the local building inspector and arranged for him to visit site and assess the works. He was pleased with our works and as a result passed them. We were able to start the concreting works that same afternoon.

Overall, it took a total of six working days to complete the piling foundations in Manchester, including all excavation, piling and concreting works. Once set, the client will be able to start the building works for the new office block.

We provided our client with copies of the structural engineers calculations (design for the works) and our piling log detailing the depths of each pile we installed.

In conclusion, our client was pleased with the high standard and efficiency of our works and was looking forward to the building work starting on the new office block.
